Automobile dealers urge PM to resolve issues on compensation cess
New Delhi: Automobile dealers have written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve the issue of compensation cess before September 22 when the GST 2.0 kicks off and urged for a meeting too, to explain their dilemma. The dealers have also written Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the subject. In a letter to the PM, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has urged that balance lying in compensation cess credit ledger as on September 21, 2025 may be allowed to be transferred to IGST/ CGST credit ledger.

NHEV & Transvolt to deploy 1000 electric trucks
New Delhi: A technical trial focused on commercialisation of e-trucks, which was started on the World EV Day last year from Chennai, reached its rollout milestone on Tuesday with an impressive outcome of deploying 1000 e-trucks at various freight routes across India. Technology piloting agency Ease of Doing Business had initiated the commercial prototyping of e-trucks in participation along with electric truck fleet operator Transvolt Mobility.
